The staff here was very competent and caring, always willing to help with everything we needed, and the food was fantastic with a great variety of options available.

Was an ideal place for new year. Had very relaxing stay for two nights with attentive staff and wonderful location close to the centre. My room was well-appointed and featured exceptional view of the ocean. I enjoyed the breakfast with a great selection of great food.

we were thrilled with the hotel, as it certainly seemed to be the best hotel in the area,,,the rest of Hikkaduwa seemed a little tired and run down! the hotel only opened in december, so was very comfortable and the staff well trained. with only 6 rooms it was also not too large and impersonable! we would certainly recommend it to all!

I had a wonderful two-night stay at the Roman Beach Hotel in Hikkaduwa. the location was absolutely stunning and exceptional, making it a brilliant place to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I was impressed by the healthy and diverse food options available at the hotel.

There are good places. There are to level places and then there is paradise on earth! Roman Beach is what you can expect from paradise. First the rooms are very clean with top quality furniture. And I don't explain you about the room organisation, it is just perfect with view on the ocean from the bathroom :-) Even food is really the best you can expect.

The breakfast menu was delicious. Rooms with an amazing view had a special atmosphere.

Greate hotel whit private beach, situated in a peaceful place but not far away from center. Services was excellent and people were amazing and very helpful. Food was good too (variety of european and Sri lankan). After spending few days in this place it is hard to find something better.

The whole place was fairly clean with exceptionally good views. the stunning location is close to the center. - the room was exceptionally clean and provided a walk-in shower. - Dinner and breakfast food was gorgeous. - Had a fantastic stay here.

It was only a few months old when I stayed there and the owners/management must have invested a huge amount to make it what it is: a wonderful boutique-style resort. The rooms are amazing: really well-designed, spacious, well-furnished with luxury fittings. The pool is lovely. And the food was exceptional. It's away from Hikkaduwa town so was peaceful and is situation on a stretch of beach that was very quiet. It would be a wonderful place to have a honeymoon.

My only minor annoyance was that they asked me to change room on my second night in order to accommodate a family who were staying for longer. But they asked me very politely and explained the situation - and to be fair they upgraded me to a room with a jacuzzi. Also they don't have an alcohol licence, but there is a resort next door where you can walk over to have a few beers by the beach.

Although only minutes walk to other eateries, shops etc (Tuks for longer trips), once inside the entrance drive, you are in a quiet, peaceful and well kept small hotel. Only 6 rooms total on 1st/2nd floors, it caters for queit, relaxing, quality stays. Large very good bedrooms with views to sea, good batrooms. Good breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very willing and helpful staff. Excellent well kept large pool. Normaly no music.The place to go if you want quiet, quality, relaxation and comfort. Two weeks did not seem long eneough!
